One of the great things about coming to Big Red Cats is your and your group get to choose exactly what type of
accommodation that you prefer. We can arrange some of the following options, and others must be booked directly, as shown:
Luxury Condos
- Red Property Management 2, 3, 4 bedroom condos can be packaged by us, with cat skiing and lift tickets. All condos have hot tubs or hot tub access, and are well-located, close to our morning meeting point and to the lifts at Red.
Funky Lodges
- Our official lodge is the Red Shutter Inn at the base of Red Mountain, great value and lots of fun, and it does have a hot tub and sauna, but is less luxurious than the condos. Our posted packages are based on staying at the Red Shutter Inn. With only 6 rooms, it is ideal for a group of 12 guys who are all cat skiing together. There is also a 2-bedroom cabin which is great value.
Hotels
- If you prefer to stay in town so that you can more easily enjoy the apres-ski experience, and you have a car to get up to Red, the Prestige Inn is an excellent choice, and we can also offer packages including a stay with the Prestige
-The Ram's Head Inn at Red Mountain is often a good choice for couples who wish to stay near the lifts, but we can no longer offer packages .
- The Thriftlodge is a simple but clean and quite adequate hotel with good rates, located on the highway between Rossland and Red Mountain. Book direct.
- The Steamshovel is located right above the Steamshovel pub in downtown Rossland. Fairly inexpensive and good if you like to spend lots of time at the pub. Book direct
Charming Bed and Breakfasts
- Angela's Place, the Red Barn Lodge, and several other B&B's and guesthouses are available in Rossland. Book direct.
Hostel
- The Mountain Shadow Hostel is $20/person/night! If you're young, don't mind 7 roommates or the lack of hot tub, and like apres-skiing at least as much as skiing, this is a good spot for you. What you save on lodging you can spend on cat skiing! They also have a limited number of smaller rooms, if you have a small group. Book direct.
