With 18,500 acres of varied terrain, we can tailor the tour to your level of ability.  The first to book a spot designates the tour type, and later bookings must find a date with a suitable tour for their ability. 

"Lynx" days are for intermediate powder skiers who enjoy the deep - but perhaps not quite as much steep!  We invite an extra coach along, to give you some helpful hints and a helpful hand when you fall, and we introduce you to tree-skiing gradually.  If you're a reasonable skier but you've never cat-skied before and you don't want to slow down the group, give this tour a try first.  You should be able to ski the "mini-bowls" at Red before signing up for this tour.  The natural beauty is the same, the camaraderie is the same, but the pain is far less!

"Mountain Lion" days are for the majority of our guests, stronger skiers who enjoy the trees and a challenge.  Suitable only for competent powder skiers, these days explore open runs and plenty of tree-skiing as well, at a faster pace than the Lynx days.  If you like to play in the Powderfields at Red, you'll like this tour.

Finally, the "Cougar" days are for those who like to ski triple-black runs, and want challenging, non-stop leg-burning action with plenty of vertical.  This tour will probably only be run one or two days a week, but we do have something for everyone.  If Red's "Cambodia" doesn't scare you, then this is the tour for you.  

We have some of the best-accessed powder skiing in the world.   Our 2 cat pick up points are at 1,500 and 1,370 meters (just 12 and 22 minutes from the base of Red Mountain respectively).   Which means that you spend less time riding up in a cat and more time riding down.  

Our proximity to Red Resort and Rossland means that you can stay in the finest on-hill luxury accommodations or choose the most affordable lodging to meet your budget.   It means that couples can enjoy cat-skiing because of child care options at the base of the ski hill.   It also means that you can choose from Rossland's 6 restaurants, 4 bars, and 5 excellent cafes.   But most of all it means that you can easily spend a few days warming up on the legendary slopes of Red Mountain before and after skiing with Big Red Cats - without losing a travel day.
