Terrain Maps

Below are links to a number of terrain maps  - Not all of these maps are on the same scale - but you can get a good idea of the distance and the terrain by the elevation lines.   To read the maps it is helpful to know:
  • The yellow lines are snowcat roads
  • The Red Runs are expert runs
  • The Blue lines are advanced runs
  • The Green runs are intermediate runs,
Sometimes when we are skiing with groups we may ski an expert run with an advnaced group, or ski an advanced run with an intermediate group, because conditions will change the difficulty and stability of the run.   For instance if it has snowed 2 feet of powder overnight and the stabilty is good, we will want want to ski as steep as possible as the deeper snow will slow things down.

The satellite images a a few years old - they don't show:
  • The glading that we are doing this year.
  • The new cut blocks that have been made by recent forestry activity
