Just wanted to send a note of thanks for an unbelievably great cat
skiing experience last weekend (Friday & Saturday 3/3-4). Whenever
I try to relate the experience to others, even superlatives seem to
fall short. Awesome. Thrilling. Exhilarating. "It's just one of those
things you've got to try yourself," I usually end up saying as a big
smile crosses my face at the indelible memories. While the conditions
were ideal (fresh snow, clear skies), our group was very impressed with
the professionalism and sense of adventure and unadulterated fun that
was provided to us. Lead guide Justin exhibited an outstanding
combination of safety, knowledge and humor, while also exuding a "let's
go ski/go for it" attitude. He stressed safety as the first priority on
every single run. Several times. Sweep/tailgunner guide Alexi enhanced
that same sense and was always around to pick up and encourage the
stragglers (often including myself) adding to the wonder and elation
that backcountry skiing can offer. We will be back. And I've sent
several of my adventurous ski friends to your website and sung your
praises to the top of Mts. Neptune, Pluto, Crow, etc. Thanks again for
a once-in-a-lifetime experience. B.J. Violett Los Angeles, CA

My son and I skied with guides Justin and Corey on
Sunday, March 5. Richard was the driver and Roddie gave a nice pre-ski
safety pep talk. Compared to others you are right at the top. Quite
frankly, I was suprised by the organization and leadership. Very good
for a first year in operation. I like your model, cat skiing without
trying to be in the hotel, catering, and bar businesses. There is
sometimes a difference between the dream and the reality in these
endeavors and this one was much more the former. And we had luck with
excellent snow conditions. Congratulations to you. RP, Seattle

Many thanks for a great experience March 3-4. I am
an expert hard pack skier but had never skied powder. My group was in
the advanced group and Justin recognized that I was struggling. He
asked me to move down to the other Cat containing more intermediate
powder skiers. Roddy took pity on me and gave me the tips needed to
master the turns. In short order I was linking good turns and a tough
day turned out great. The next day I stayed on the second Cat and had
an exhilerating day! Your team is great and I cannot say enough what a
great experience I had. The fact that Big Red Cats has both advanced
and intermediate powder modality made my experience tremendous! Thanks
for everything....we will definitely be coming back. Thank you as well
for posting pictures od myself on your website! With best regards, MP

We had a fabulous time cat skiing with you on Sunday, January 15th! How
very fortunate we were to have blue skies and sun for almost the entire
day... not to mention lots of fresh powder. Thanks for making this
experience so wonderful. A.L., Boise ID.
It was an amazing day of fresh tracks! The skiing, guides, and drivers
were all very impressive. The overall feeling from the experience was
very positive, and I will recommend Big Red Cats with confidence.

We'd like to book now for next year, but next year we'll bring 12. We
want Kieren to guide us next year both days, he was a lot of fun and
took us on some great runs. TS, 6 Feb

Thank you for the pictures and the great skiing at big red cats. I
enjoyed the days with you a lot and hope to come back some time to do
some more powder skiing. All the best! Klaus, Germany
I've been catskiing and heliskiing before, but I've got to to say that those last two runs were the best runs of my life. Someone in TG's group, 9 Feb
Roddy was excellent, he saw that I couldn't keep up, and skied with me
and my husband separately so that we wouldn't slow the group. It took
the stress right off and I really enjoyed the day. We'll be back. RW, 7 Feb
